According to the official results collation and declaration form released by the party on May 30, 2026, Aguocha Obinna emerged victorious with a total of 77,482 votes, further strengthening his growing political influence and acceptance within the constituency.

The declaration document, signed by designated party officials, showed that the primary exercise was conducted under the supervision of Electoral Officer, Chibuzo Okereke, and Returning Officer, Oluchi Oparah.

Details contained in the official Labour Party result sheet identified Aguocha Obinna with membership number AB/IMI/60, after which he was formally declared the party’s flag bearer for the federal constituency election.

Political observers within Abia State have described the outcome as a reflection of the confidence many party faithful and grassroots supporters have continued to place in Aguocha Obinna’s political vision, accessibility, and commitment towards the development of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South.

Over the years, Obi Aguocha has continued to gain visibility among young people and community stakeholders through his engagements, consultations, and people-oriented political approach, which many supporters believe aligns with the growing demand for responsive and grassroots-driven representation.

His emergence is already generating conversations across political circles within the constituency, with many supporters expressing optimism that the Labour Party may witness increased momentum ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The development also signals another significant move for the Labour Party in Abia State as political activities continue to gather pace across different constituencies in preparation for the 2026 electoral season.

Supporters of the party have since congratulated Aguocha Obinna on his emergence, describing it as a victory for party unity, grassroots participation, and democratic inclusion within the constituency.

With campaigns gradually taking shape across the state, attention is now expected to shift towards issue-based engagements, constituency outreach, and strategic mobilization as political parties intensify preparations for the polls ahead.
