Grace Godwin, a 23-year-old petrol station attendant, has tragically lost her life after being abducted by suspected ‘one chance’ kidnappers in Abuja. Her lifeless body was discovered early Saturday morning, July 12, 2025, along Abubakar Street, off Alex Ekwueme Street in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Comrade Adanu Andrew, President of the Voice of Apa and Agatu Initiative for Development. He revealed that Grace hailed from Ekaida in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State. Andrew dismissed false claims circulating online that the victim had gone out for a hookup, insisting she was a disciplined and respectful young woman.

According to Andrew, Grace was abducted while returning home from work on Friday, July 11. The kidnappers reportedly contacted her family to demand a ransom of one million naira. Sadly, before any rescue could be arranged, her body was found dumped in Jabi.

“The misleading Facebook narrative suggesting she went out for a hookup is entirely false,” Andrew emphasized. “Grace was simply on her way home when she encountered the criminals.” He stressed that the family was already taking steps to meet the ransom demand when they learned of her death online.

Describing her as a hardworking and principled young woman, Andrew mourned her loss and condemned the brutal act. He prayed for her soul’s peaceful rest and called for justice and comfort for her grieving family.
