Nigerians Suffering Due to Tinubu’s Bad Policies – ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of worsening the hardships faced by Nigerians through its poorly implemented policies.

Speaking on Channels Television on Wednesday, the party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, criticized the government for failing to ease the burdens on citizens, despite repeated assurances.

Abdullahi said there was a clear disconnect between the government’s promises and the harsh realities ordinary Nigerians face daily.

“The policies of this government have not worked,” he said. “The people are suffering, but government officials keep expanding their convoys and living in luxury, while asking citizens to endure more pain.”

He questioned the transparency of Tinubu’s leadership and called for honesty in policy implementation.

“If you know people will suffer from your policies and you can’t cushion the effect, at least be sincere. Tell them, ‘Here’s the sacrifice, and here’s the reward,’” Abdullahi said.

He also raised concerns over the handling of funds saved from fuel subsidy removal. “Where’s that money going? It’s been allocated to states for infrastructure, but how does that help someone who now buys petrol at ₦1,000 per litre?”

Abdullahi added, “If I’m paying that much for fuel, I should at least get cheaper or free drugs at the hospital. That’s how the savings should reflect in people’s lives—but Nigerians don’t see that.”
