President Trump to Join Police and Military Amid Surge in Federal Law Enforcement in Washington, D.C.

In response to what he describes as a crime emergency in the nation’s capital, President Donald Trump announced plans to accompany police and military personnel in Washington, D.C. on Thursday evening. This move comes as federal law enforcement agencies and the National Guard ramp up their presence in the area.

During an interview with radio host Todd Starnes, Trump stated, “I’m going to be going out tonight, I think, with the police and, with the military, of course. So we’re going to do a job. The National Guard is great. They’ve done a fantastic job.” This involvement marks the latest effort from the administration to combat rising concerns over crime in the district.

The President previously mobilized the National Guard to support local law enforcement efforts one week ago, citing a need for increased resources to address escalating crime rates. As the situation unfolds, the administration continues to emphasize the importance of maintaining safety and security in the nation’s capital.
