The Association of Resident Doctors in the Federal Capital Territory (ARD-FCT) has commenced an indefinite strike, effective Monday.

This was contained in a communique released by the association and jointly signed by its President, Dr. George Ebong, and General Secretary, Dr. Agbor Affiong.

The doctors had earlier embarked on a seven-day warning strike last week to press for their demands after months of stalled negotiations with the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

With no resolution reached, the association announced the escalation to an indefinite strike, stressing the need for urgent government intervention to address their grievances.
