The Network for the Actualisation of Social Growth and Viable Development (NEFGAD) has announced that its founder and convener, Mr. Omoniyi Akingunola, has proceeded on a study leave to pursue further academic and professional development.

In his absence, leadership of the organisation has been handed over to Ms. Uneku B. Ojo, who will oversee NEFGAD’s programmes, advocacy efforts, and institutional projects.

During the handover, Akingunola expressed confidence in Ojo’s ability to sustain and expand NEFGAD’s vision of promoting democracy, transparency, good governance, and active citizenship. He assured stakeholders that his study leave would ultimately enhance his contributions to the group on his return.

Reaffirming NEFGAD’s commitment to advancing democratic governance and civic responsibility in Nigeria and beyond, Akingunola thanked the organisation’s partners, civil society allies, the media, and the public for their continued support during the transition.
