President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will pay his first official visit to Abia State on Friday, October 3, 2025, to commission the reconstructed Port Harcourt Road in Aba, which had been in a state of disrepair for over three decades.

Governor Alex Otti disclosed this during his September edition of “Governor Alex Otti Speaks” at the Government House, Umuahia. He revealed that the President will also inaugurate other newly completed roads, including Ohanku, Ndoki, and People’s Road.

The Governor further announced that work on the Umuahia–Ikot Ekpene Road would soon commence to ease the burden on motorists along the strategic inter-state route.

On the Abia Airport project, Otti stated that progress was steady, with most landowners along the runway already compensated, while others were urged to complete documentation to resolve pending matters.

He also revealed that the first phase of the Enyimba Hotel project and the Aba Leisure Park would be delivered next year.
