Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has dissolved his cabinet, terminating the appointments of all commissioners and other public officials affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment with immediate effect.

The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement by Nelson Chukwudi, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary. Before the decision, Fubara held a private valedictory session with his cabinet members at the Government House in Port Harcourt, coinciding with activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

During the session, the governor expressed gratitude to the commissioners for their service and contributions to the state’s growth over the past two years. He also urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu in building a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation.

Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people of Rivers State with renewed determination while appreciating citizens for their continued support.
