President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has restated his administration’s dedication to ensuring fairness, equity, and justice in the distribution of infrastructure projects across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Speaking through Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, at a political rally in Dutse, Jigawa State, on Saturday, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that his government remains focused on completing key federal road and development projects of national importance.

“I assure Nigerians of our unwavering commitment to prioritising the completion of major federal highways and other critical infrastructure projects that directly impact our people,” Tinubu said.

The event, which marked the defection of over 64,000 members from opposition parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as a platform to highlight the administration’s progress on key infrastructure, including the long-delayed Kano–Maiduguri Federal Highway, which the President has ordered to be completed.

APC National Chairman, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, who officially received the defectors at the Dutse Mini Stadium, urged them to participate actively in party activities and assured them of equal rights and opportunities within the APC.

“From what we have witnessed here today, it is clear that Jigawa belongs to the APC. People are satisfied with the government’s developmental strides in education, health, roads, water, agriculture, and other key sectors,” Yilwatda stated.

Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, disclosed that the new members were drawn from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC). He presented a detailed register of the defectors, containing their names, villages, wards, and local government areas, to the APC National Chairman.

Governor Namadi reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusivity and sustaining policies that promote unity, progress, and development across the state. He also commended President Tinubu for his purposeful leadership and focus on national development.
