The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has declared all correctional centres nationwide as “Red Zones” ahead of the planned nationwide protest scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025, demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Umar Abubakar, the Service emphasized that all correctional facilities remain restricted areas, warning the public to keep off to prevent any security breaches or disturbances.

The NCoS urged citizens to exercise restraint and cooperate with security agencies to maintain peace and public order, reiterating the need to respect all restricted and sensitive locations, including correctional centres.
