Senator Akobundu Clarifies His Presence at Ariam-Usaka Ring Road Event, Reaffirms Commitment to PDP

Senator representing Abia Central, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd), has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dispelling rumours of his defection to another political party.

Speaking on Friday during the flag-off of the Ariam-Usaka Ring Road project in Ikwuano Local Government Area, Senator Akobundu explained that his presence at Governor Alex Otti’s events should not be misinterpreted.

According to him, his attendance at such functions is purely to celebrate developmental strides and the progress being recorded in Abia State, particularly in his constituency, rather than a political alliance.

He emphasized that while he remains a proud member of the PDP, he will always support initiatives that bring growth and development to the people of Abia Central.
