Abia-Türkiye Investment Summit to Boost State’s Economy

Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership (PPP), High Chief Jerome Green-Amakwe, has said that the upcoming Abia-Türkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition will significantly enhance Abia State’s economic growth.

Speaking during a meeting with the Speaker and members of the Abia State House of Assembly in Umuahia, Chief Green-Amakwe sought the lawmakers’ collaboration for the successful hosting of the international event.

He explained that the partnership with Türkiye, a technologically advanced and industrialized nation, will open new job opportunities, attract investors, and showcase Abia’s vast economic potential.

“As part of our effort to strengthen Abia’s economy, we are hosting an international investment summit and exhibition from November 25 to 27. This event is a partnership between our state government and the Turkish government, and we invite you to join us in welcoming our international guests,” he stated.

Chief Green-Amakwe, who also chairs the summit’s organizing committee, added that the initiative would create a conducive business environment for Abians at home and abroad, fostering trade relations and investment opportunities with Turkish partners.

He emphasized that the summit aims to attract investors from across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond, positioning Abia as a leading destination for foreign direct investment.

In his response, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, pledged the Assembly’s full support for the summit and other economic development programs of the state government.

Other members, including Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie Mmeregini and Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe, commended Chief Green-Amakwe for engaging the legislature and assured their commitment to ensuring the summit’s success.

The Abia-Türkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition 2025 will take place from November 25 to 27, 2025, in Abia State.
