MultiChoice Nigeria Appoints Kemi Omotosho As New CEO

MultiChoice Nigeria has announced Kemi Omotosho as its new Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of longtime CEO John Ugbe after nearly 15 years in the role.

Omotosho brings over two decades of leadership experience in media, telecommunications, and digital services across Nigeria and Sub‑Saharan Africa. She previously held senior positions within the MultiChoice Group, including Executive Head of Customer Value Management for Nigeria and other African markets.

The company stated that the leadership transition is aimed at ensuring continuity and stability in its operations. Omotosho expressed her excitement about leading the business in Nigeria’s dynamic market, pledging to deepen consumer engagement, support local storytelling, and drive sustainable growth.

Ugbe steps down as part of a planned succession process, having guided MultiChoice Nigeria through significant industry changes.
