Police Arrest Three Suspects in Enugu for Attempting to Sell Stolen Tricycle

Three men have been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command for allegedly trying to sell a stolen tricycle in the Trans‑Ekulu area of Enugu. The arrest took place on January 20, 2026, after police received credible information about the sale.

The suspects — Chuka Nwanze (23), Arinze Anyansi (24), and Miracle Anyadiegwu (24) — were taken into custody by officers, with assistance from a local neighbourhood watch group. The stolen tricycle, described as yellow and black, was recovered during the operation.

During questioning, the suspects reportedly confessed to stealing the tricycle the previous night and admitted to selling some of its parts. Police stated that investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional members of the alleged theft syndicate and recover other stolen items.

Authorities have urged vehicle owners to remain vigilant, take security precautions, and report suspicious activities to prevent theft.
