Over 5,000 TASUED Students to Graduate with N700m NELFUND Boosting Access to Education

Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun State, has announced that 5,141 students will graduate at its upcoming 17th convocation ceremony. The event is set to take place over two days later this week, marking a major milestone for the institution.

The Vice‑Chancellor revealed that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) disbursed N700 million to benefit 4,210 students during the current academic session, helping many to complete their studies without financial disruption.

The graduating class includes students across various degree levels, with a notable breakdown of performance: a number of first class honours, second class upper and lower degrees, and postgraduate qualifications. The overall best graduating student is a Computer Science major who graduated with a perfect CGPA of 5.0.

The university also announced that several honorary degrees will be conferred during the ceremony on distinguished personalities in education and public service, while new academic programmes have received approval to expand the institution’s curriculum.

In addition, TASUED highlighted its commitment to quality education, continuous curriculum improvement, and enhanced learning infrastructure to support student success and future graduates’ competitiveness.
