At least two people have died and eight others were hurt in a serious road accident on Tuesday in Lagos State. The incident occurred when a yellow commercial minibus carrying nine people overturned and erupted in flames along a busy road, trapping passengers inside.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to nearby hospitals for treatment. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle appeared to have lost control before flipping over.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with early reports suggesting possible speeding or brake failure as contributing factors. Road users have been urged to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the fatalities and called for stricter road safety enforcement to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
