The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, Yousef Bin Mohammed Albanawi, has announced plans for Saudi Airlines to begin direct flight services between both countries.

He explained that the move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and improve connectivity, particularly in areas such as trade, tourism, and religious travel. The introduction of direct routes is expected to ease the movement of passengers, especially Nigerian pilgrims traveling for Hajj and Umrah.

According to the ambassador, discussions are ongoing with relevant aviation authorities to ensure a smooth rollout of the new service. Once operational, the flights are anticipated to boost economic cooperation and deepen ties between the two nations.
