Deputy Speaker Kalu Rejects Claims Questioning His Legal Credentials

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has strongly refuted allegations challenging his participation in the National Youth Service Corps and his attendance at the Nigerian Law School. His office described the claims as baseless and driven by political motives.

In a statement issued by his media office, the lawmaker insisted that no relevant authority has ever questioned his qualifications or professional standing as a legal practitioner. The statement maintained that the accusations circulating in some quarters lack credible evidence and should be disregarded.

According to the Deputy Speaker’s office, all necessary records concerning his legal training and national service are properly documented with the appropriate institutions. It stressed that attempts to cast doubt on his credentials are part of a campaign aimed at tarnishing his reputation and distracting him from his duties.

The office further assured the public that Benjamin Kalu remains committed to his responsibilities in the House of Representatives of Nigeria and will not be distracted by what it described as unfounded allegations.
