The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock exercise held on March 28, 2026.

Candidates who participated in the mock examination can access their results by sending the text message “MOCKRESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during UTME registration.

In a statement signed by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin on Tuesday, the board disclosed that a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the exercise, while 152,586 successfully sat for the test. The mock examination was conducted across 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

The board also noted that more than 20 CBT centres were delisted following technical challenges encountered during the exercise.

“Over 20 CBT centres that experienced technical challenges have been delisted due to technical inadequacies,” the statement said.

JAMB further cautioned candidates against falling victim to fraudsters on WhatsApp and other platforms who claim they can manipulate or inflate scores.

It warned that any candidate found engaging in such practices would have their registration cancelled. In cases where such infractions are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or withdrawn.

The board also reminded candidates that the main 2026 UTME is scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026.

JAMB had earlier acknowledged that the mock examination was affected by technical glitches, with many candidates experiencing disruptions caused by server failures, power outages, and delayed start times at several CBT centres, leaving some students stranded for hours.
