Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Orji has restated his commitment to people-oriented representation, outlining key priorities for Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency during a media interaction under the All Progressives Congress.
Speaking to newsmen, Orji explained that leadership must be responsive to the everyday realities of the people, noting that his focus will revolve around improving infrastructure, supporting youth development, enhancing education, and strengthening healthcare services across the constituency.
He maintained that effective representation should serve as a link between the grassroots and the federal government, adding that attracting meaningful projects to the constituency remains a top priority if given the opportunity to serve.
According to him, his approach is grounded in practical governance and experience, emphasizing that transparency, accessibility, and accountability will guide his actions and decisions.
He further made it relatable by pointing out that farmers need better rural roads to transport their produce, traders require a more enabling environment to thrive, while young people deserve genuine opportunities that can secure their future.
Responding to questions from newsmen, the former Speaker reaffirmed his commitment to consistent engagement with the people, stressing that leadership must reflect the voices, needs, and expectations of the constituency at all times.
He added that beyond policies and promises, his goal is to ensure that the ordinary citizen feels the direct impact of governance, assuring that his focus will remain on delivering visible and meaningful improvements in the daily lives of the people.
