Stakeholders Advocate Stronger Protection for Women and Girls in Kaduna

Stakeholders in Kaduna State have urged government authorities and relevant agencies to intensify efforts in tackling the growing challenge of gender-based violence, calling for more coordinated action to protect vulnerable groups.

The call was made during a recent engagement where participants expressed concern over the persistent cases of abuse affecting women and girls in various communities. They noted that despite existing laws and awareness campaigns, incidents of violence remain a major social issue.

Speakers at the forum emphasized the need for stronger enforcement of laws, improved reporting systems, and greater community involvement to ensure perpetrators are held accountable. They also stressed the importance of education and awareness in changing harmful social attitudes that contribute to abuse.

Participants further called for collaboration between government institutions, civil society groups, and traditional leaders to create a safer environment and provide better support for survivors across the state.
