Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu has called for a shift towards responsible, accountable and people driven leadership in Abia State, stressing that leadership remains the foundation upon which every meaningful development is built.
Speaking to newsmen as part of his “Fix Abia” message series, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu noted that the challenges confronting the state are not due to lack of capacity among the people, but a failure of leadership to fully respond to their needs.
He emphasized that true leadership must go beyond occupying offices and must reflect service, empathy and a clear commitment to improving the lives of citizens.
According to him, Abians are increasingly demanding a leadership that listens, understands their daily struggles and delivers practical solutions that impact real lives.
Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu maintained that the people deserve leaders who are transparent, accessible and focused on results, not excuses, adding that governance must reconnect with the realities on the ground.
He further stressed that when leadership loses touch with the people, frustration deepens, opportunities shrink and trust begins to erode.
The Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant noted that restoring confidence in leadership is critical to rebuilding the state, emphasizing that fixing Abia begins with getting leadership right.
He concluded by stating that the call for change is growing stronger across the state, from Aba to Ohafia and Umuahia to Ukwa, as citizens look forward to a leadership that truly represents their hopes and aspirations.
