The Nigerian Army has restated its commitment to closer coordination with other security formations as part of efforts to improve stability in the North-West region.
The assurance was given by the leadership of the 8 Division during an interaction with participants of the Air Force War College Course 12/2026 who visited Sokoto on a field study programme.
Speaking on behalf of the General Officer Commanding, senior officers explained that ongoing counter-insurgency and anti-banditry missions depend heavily on joint planning, intelligence exchange, and unified action across services.
They noted that combined operations under existing military frameworks have continued to play a key role in improving responses to security threats across affected states.
The Army further encouraged continuous inter-agency engagement, saying such collaboration enhances professionalism and operational effectiveness in the field.
The visiting Air Force officers said their tour across parts of the North-West was aimed at gaining practical exposure to security operations and strengthening cooperation among the armed forces.
Military authorities reaffirmed that joint operations would remain central to ongoing strategies aimed at improving safety and restoring peace in the region.
