Abia politician and businessman, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has joined millions around the world in celebrating Father’s Day, paying glowing tribute to fathers for their immense contributions to family growth, community development, and nation-building.
In a Father’s Day message released on Sunday, Chief Kalu described fatherhood as a sacred responsibility that demands love, patience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of one’s family.
He noted that fathers remain the first teachers, role models, and pillars of support in many homes, emphasizing that the values they instill in their children often shape the future of society.
According to him, the challenges confronting families today require fathers to be more intentional in providing moral guidance, emotional support, and quality leadership within their homes.
Chief Kalu commended fathers who continue to work tirelessly to provide for their families despite economic difficulties, stating that their resilience and determination deserve recognition and appreciation.
The former governorship aspirant also urged young fathers to embrace responsible parenting and prioritize the upbringing of their children, stressing that strong families are the foundation of a peaceful and prosperous society.
He encouraged fathers across Abia State and Nigeria to remain committed to raising children with integrity, respect, discipline, and a sense of responsibility.
“Fatherhood is not merely about providing material needs; it is about building character, inspiring hope, and preparing the next generation for leadership. Today, we celebrate every father who continues to make sacrifices for the success of his family and community,” he stated.
Chief Kalu prayed for God’s blessings, wisdom, good health, and long life for fathers everywhere and wished them a memorable Father’s Day celebration.
