Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has congratulated fathers across Abia State and Nigeria on the occasion of Father’s Day, describing them as critical stakeholders in nation-building and family development.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the lawmaker praised fathers for their commitment to raising responsible children and sustaining family values despite the prevailing economic and social challenges confronting the country.
Hon. Ogah noted that fathers occupy a unique position in society as mentors, protectors, providers, and moral guides whose influence extends beyond their homes to the larger community.
According to him, the sacrifices made daily by fathers often go unnoticed, yet they remain fundamental to the stability, progress, and growth of society.
The federal lawmaker urged fathers to continue investing in the education, welfare, and moral upbringing of their children, stressing that the future of the nation depends largely on the quality of leadership and values imparted at the family level.
He also called on families to appreciate and support fathers who work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of their loved ones.
Hon. Ogah further encouraged fathers to remain united, prayerful, and hopeful, while continuing to promote peace, hard work, and mutual respect within their homes and communities.
“As we celebrate Father’s Day, I salute all fathers for their sacrifices, resilience, and dedication to family and society. Your efforts are laying the foundation for a stronger and better Nigeria. May God continue to strengthen and bless you abundantly,” he stated.
He wished fathers across the country a happy and fulfilling Father’s Day celebration.
