Police Launch Investigation Into Attack on Anambra PDP Guber Candidate, Ezenwafor

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commenced a thorough investigation into the reported assassination attempt on Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra election scheduled for November 25.

According to reports, Ezenwafor was attacked by unknown gunmen near Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, while returning from an engagement.

Confirming the incident, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the attack. She urged members of the public with useful information to come forward and assist the police.

“The Command has not yet concluded its investigation into the true nature of the incident. While inquiries are ongoing, we appeal to individuals with relevant information to report to the nearest police station,” her statement read in part.

Adeh emphasized that public cooperation would be vital to ensuring justice is served in the matter.
