President Bola Tinubu is set to honour no fewer than 210 corps members at the President’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Honours Award for the 2020 to 2023 service years.

This was revealed in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the NYSC Director of Media, Mr. Emeka Mgbemena. According to him, the ceremony will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. Out of the 210 honourees, 200 are ex-corps members who distinguished themselves across all four cardinal programmes of the NYSC: Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding-Up/Passing-Out.

Mgbemena added that under the NYSC Hope Alive Initiative, 10 ex-corps members who sustained permanent disabilities while serving the nation will also be recognised by the president.

He further stated that the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, alongside the NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, and the NYSC management team, look forward to welcoming the award recipients and guests to the event.
