Ex-Boyfriend Arrested in Connection to Disappearance of Pregnant Teen in Massachusetts

Authorities have arrested Gregory Groom, the ex-boyfriend of an 18-year-old woman who went missing while pregnant, following a stunning confession that led detectives to her body.

Kylee Monteiro, who was 11 weeks pregnant, had been unaccounted for since August 7. She was last seen near Country Street in Rehoboth, according to local law enforcement and her family.

Groom, 24, was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with murder after allegedly admitting to killing Monteiro. His arraignment took place on Wednesday, where prosecutors detailed the circumstances of the case.

On August 8, Groom contacted the police to report Monteiro’s disappearance, claiming she had been at his residence looking for a place to stay. He stated that they had an argument, after which she left and had not been seen or heard from since.
