Lucy Connolly, wife of Tory councillor Raymond Connolly, has announced her intention to publicly release the content of her police interview, claiming significant discrepancies between her statements and those made by the police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

In her remarks, Mrs. Connolly emphasized, “I made it quite clear to them that I know the difference between immigration and illegal immigration. However, I feel that my statements were massively twisted and used against me.”

While the CPS opted not to comment further on the matter, they directed attention to an updated statement where the term “illegal” was introduced, raising questions about the progression of the narrative surrounding her case.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police acknowledged awareness of Mrs. Connolly’s comments following her release from custody. “We hope to contact Mrs. Connolly in the coming days to understand the issues she has raised regarding Northamptonshire Police,” the spokesperson stated.

As the situation develops, residents and interested parties are encouraged to stay informed through local news outlets.
