Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that the current administration paid ₦1 billion to bandit groups operating in the state. The claim originated from a video clip that circulated widely on Tuesday, drawing significant public attention.

In the footage, El-Rufai accused government officials of not only paying the money but also apologising to the bandits during the course of their dealings. He insisted that such actions undermine public trust and embolden criminal elements.

El-Rufai further stated that he and his team possess “evidence and proof” to support the allegation. He challenged the governor or any government official to publicly deny the claims if they believe them to be untrue.

As of the time of this report, the Kaduna State Government has not issued any official response, leaving many residents and observers awaiting clarification on the matter.
