Washington Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance have announced that they are expecting their fourth child.

The couple shared the news on Tuesday via social media, revealing that the baby is a boy and is expected to arrive in late July. They said Usha Vance and the unborn child are in good health and expressed excitement about welcoming the newest addition to their family.

The vice president and second lady also thanked the military medical professionals and staff who have supported their family throughout the pregnancy.

JD Vance and Usha Vance met while studying at Yale Law School and were married in 2014. They currently have three children, Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel.

Before becoming second lady, Usha Vance was a practicing attorney with the law firm Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. Her legal career includes clerkships for Chief Justice John Roberts of the U.S. Supreme Court and Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his time on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

The announcement adds to a series of personal milestones for the Vance family since JD Vance’s election as vice president.
