The Lagos State College of Health Technology has reinforced its rules for students enrolled in its aesthetic medicine programme, urging strict compliance with safety standards and approved training procedures.

Management of the institution gave the directive during a recent orientation session, where students were reminded that their training is focused on non-invasive cosmetic and skin-related care, supported by basic medical knowledge.

Officials cautioned that the field requires high levels of discipline and adherence to professional ethics, warning that unsafe practices could endanger clients and undermine confidence in the healthcare system.

The school made it clear that its curriculum does not cover surgical or injectable procedures, and students were advised not to exceed the limits of their training under any circumstance.

It further stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism as the aesthetic industry continues to grow, noting that proper regulation and responsible practice are key to protecting public health and ensuring quality service delivery.
