Businessman and philanthropist, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, has formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, representing the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.

Speaking during his declaration, Igbokwe said his decision to join the race was driven by a desire to bring effective representation, youth-focused policies, and grassroots development to the constituency. He emphasized the need for leadership that understands the everyday challenges faced by the people and is committed to delivering practical solutions.

The aspirant highlighted his track record in business and community support initiatives, noting that these experiences have prepared him to serve at the national level. He promised to prioritize infrastructure, job creation, and educational opportunities if elected.

Igbokwe also called on residents, especially young people, to actively participate in the political process, stressing that inclusive governance is key to sustainable progress.

Political observers say his entry into the race could reshape the contest, as he brings both popularity and grassroots appeal to the political landscape in Ikwuano/Umuahia.
