The Abia State Labour Party Organising Secretary, Hon Ikechukwu Ben Oti, has called on party leaders and members across the state to remain united, disciplined, and committed to strengthening the structure of the party ahead of future political engagements.
Hon Ben Oti made the call during the Abia Labour Party Leaders and Stakeholders Extraordinary Meeting, where he commended Governor Alex Otti for what he described as transformational leadership and purposeful governance that has continued to earn the confidence and support of Abians.
He stated that the achievements recorded by the Governor in infrastructure, transparency, healthcare, education, and economic reforms have further positioned the Labour Party as the leading political movement in Abia State.
The Organising Secretary also praised the Labour Party leadership in the state for sustaining internal coordination and grassroots mobilization, noting that the strength of the party lies in its unity and ability to work together as one political family.
According to him, the time has come for party members to move beyond personal interests and focus on collective progress, membership expansion, and the consolidation of the Labour Party structure across all wards and local government areas in the state.
Hon Ben Oti stressed the importance of effective mobilization, coordinated teamwork, conflict resolution, and sincerity among party faithful, warning that internal division remains the greatest threat to any political organization.
He maintained that Labour Party members must continue to present a united front before the people, adding that public confidence naturally increases when harmony and discipline exist within a political party.
The Labour Party chieftain further declared that no opposition party can successfully challenge the Labour Party in Abia State if members remain focused, loyal, and committed to protecting the vision and achievements of Governor Otti’s administration.
He urged stakeholders to deepen grassroots engagement and continue supporting the administration of Governor Otti, insisting that the government’s developmental strides must be protected through unity, sacrifice, and coordinated political leadership.
