President Bola Tinubu has assured that the Federal Government will continue to support major infrastructure development projects in Enugu State, with particular attention to rail transportation.
During a recent engagement with stakeholders, the President restated his administration’s commitment to improving connectivity across the country, noting that the planned rail link involving Enugu remains a key priority under ongoing national transport reforms.
He explained that rail development is central to boosting economic activities, easing movement of goods and passengers, and strengthening regional integration. The President also highlighted that several infrastructure projects in the South-East, including road and energy initiatives, are receiving sustained federal attention.
Tinubu further emphasized that his government is focused on long-term investments that will drive growth and create opportunities for citizens, adding that collaboration with state governments is essential for successful project delivery.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed appreciation for the ongoing interventions and urged accelerated implementation of the rail project to enhance commerce and mobility in the region.
