President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians of his administration’s determination to deliver a stable, peaceful, and prosperous nation, promising that he will not disappoint citizens.
Speaking on April 16, 2026, at the State House in Abuja while hosting members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Tinubu said his government remains focused on overhauling economic and political systems that have slowed national development.
The President explained that ongoing reforms are designed to create more opportunities for Nigerians, especially the poor and vulnerable, while encouraging citizens to actively participate in shaping the country’s future. The meeting was attended by key political figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, governors, and party leaders.
Tinubu emphasized the need to uphold democracy, the rule of law, and respect for judicial authority, noting that unity and constitutional order are essential for national progress. He also urged Nigerians to ignore misinformation and remain confident in the country’s direction, expressing optimism about inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and long-term prosperity.
Responding to criticism from opposition groups, the President dismissed attempts to pressure or intimidate him, reiterating his commitment to stay focused on his agenda despite challenges. He assured supporters that his administration will continue to pursue bold reforms and infrastructure development.
Meanwhile, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors pledged to sustain grassroots mobilisation and support for government policies, highlighting their ongoing efforts to engage citizens across the country.
