The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Oyo State has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for what it described as his commitment to workers’ welfare and grassroots development across the state.
The commendation reportedly came during a meeting between NULGE leaders and former Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Monsurat Sunmonu, where discussions focused on governance, local government administration, and the future of political support in the state.
According to reports, the union expressed appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for his administration’s support for local government workers, describing his leadership style as inclusive and people oriented.
During the visit, NULGE leaders also appreciated Senator Sunmonu for her continued relationship with grassroots stakeholders and her contributions to political development in Oyo State. The meeting reportedly featured discussions on strengthening collaboration and sustaining support for progressive leadership in the state.
The union further assured that members would continue to support Governor Makinde and any political direction he chooses ahead of future elections, emphasizing loyalty to policies they believe have positively impacted workers and residents of Oyo State.
